Spring Term Newsletter

The latest edition of our school newsletter is out now and can be viewed by clicking on the link or image below. We hope you enjoy catching up on some of the exciting activities and events that have been happening at Queen’s Park High School over the last term.

Despite the constant interruptions Covid-19 has continued to bring we hope this newsletter gives you a taste of Queen’s Park High School life and the enriched school experience we have continued to offer our students.

Featured in this latest edition we show our solidarity for Ukraine with a multitude of fundraisers to support Ukrainian refugees, involving 'sweet treat' sales, a singing talent show and a non-uniform day. Year 7 and 8 students celebrate British Science Week with the 'Stop the Spread' challenge to gain a nationally recognised Discovery CREST award, meanwhile STEM Club takes off for Year 8 and 9 students, the whole school share a story in a day for World Book Day and a group of aspiring creative writers receive a special masterclass from a renown YA author. Find out which teen poets have had their work published, what problem-solving tasks the University of Chester PGCE trainees set for our maths students and why a sponsored duck called EcoTopia was handed to Sixth Form art and design students for a makeover! 

We also shine a light on sporting achievements, including some amazing results for Queen's Park High School Rowing Club. We reveal our artists for the month, what's been cooking in the kitchen and who's 'flying high', piloting the plane over the North West with his group tutor as passenger!
