Year 13 Results Day 2024

2024 is an exciting year for us at Queen's Park High School as we celebrate our Year 13 examination results, with a record numbers of students achieving A*-A and A*-B grades at A-Level. Students’ attainment in facilitating subjects is excellent, with more students than ever achieving As and Bs in these courses - these are subjects which are most commonly preferred by universities to access degree courses.

Students excelling this year are Kaitlin Pryce who achieved three A*s in English literature, chemistry and psychology who goes on to study English Literature at Cambridge University and Cari Gwenter who achieved three A*s in biology, RE/ethics and psychology and is furthering her aspirations to study law at Sheffield.

Callum Lewis who achieved one A* and three As in maths, further maths, physics and computer science is going on to study computer science at Manchester University and Diana Gordon who achieved one A* and two As in English literature, history and media studies moves on to Aberdeen University to study history.

Uniformed Protective Services success

James Rudd and Rebecca Gibbon have achieved superb results in our Uniformed Protective Services Extended BTEC qualification, where both students achieved multiple distinctions and are heading to study criminology and psychology at university.

 

Other top performers include: 

  • Evie Lee: achieving 3As and will study graphic design and illustration at JMU.
  • Freya Cossons: achieving 2As and a B and will study geography at Durham.
  • Grace Standen: achieving 2As and a B going on to study philosophy/RE at Sheffield.
  • Brianna Probert: achieving a Distinction, A and C and will go to Cardiff to study law.
  • Reece Sharp achieving: A and 2Bs and will study geology at Durham.
  • Hannah Jones: achieving an A, B and C and heading to study geography at Newcastle.

Victoria Prydden, Head of Sixth Form is really proud of all of our leaving Year 13 students, and said,

"This cohort has achieved an amazing set of results. Their hard work and independence has been rewarded with exceptional outcomes and I wish them the best of luck for their future endeavours."
