Scholarship Success!

Aditya Awarded Reading List Scholarship.

We are delighted to share the fantastic news that Aditya in Year 13 has been awarded this year’s Reading List Scholarship from The Reading List Foundation.

Textbooks should not be a luxury!

The foundation aims to inspire a culture of giving back among graduates who benefited from free university education by supporting today’s students, many of whom face far greater financial challenges. Their scholarships provide practical, financial, and emotional support by covering the cost of essential textbooks for exceptional Year 13 students from lower income families.

Each scholarship is worth £250 which is roughly the average cost of a first year university reading list. This contribution can make a real difference in easing the financial pressures of higher education.

Aditya was selected for this prestigious award in recognition of his outstanding dedication to his studies over the past two years, his remarkable progress in mathematics, his willingness to support and coach younger students in sport, and his consistent contributions to school life.

The award was presented by Mrs Prydden, Head of Sixth Form, during our Year 13 Leavers’ Celebration on Friday 23rd May, a well-deserved moment of recognition for Adi’s hard work and generosity of spirit.

The scholarship will greatly help Adi who hopes to go on to study Engineering at Loughborough university in September.

Congratulations, Aditya! We are so proud of you and wish you every success on your journey ahead.
