They're already thinking like chemical engineers! Six of our Year 8 students stepped into the world of chemical engineering today, competing against 5 other schools to design a product using sustainable materials to solve a realworld problem faced by a specific country. 'Team QPHS' were given Germany as their focus. After learning about the country's high plastic usage, our students rose to the challenge by designing a biodegradable product to help reduce plastic waste. The event was hosted by Bishop's Blue Coat & run by @allaboutfutures giving students a fantastic insight into chemical engineering & highlighting how engineers play a vital role in solving modernday problems safely & sustainably. Congratulations to all our students for their creativity, teamwork & fantastic ideas! #STEM #definingfutures
