Live on Dee Radio!

We’re thrilled to share that our upcoming school production, Oliver!, has already been making 'radio' waves across Chester!

On Monday 2nd February, our very own Mr. Yeoman (Assistant Headteacher and Director of this year’s show), headed to Chester’s Dee Radio for a special live feature. He was joined by three of our talented performers: Dan (Y13), Nell (Y13) and Gruff (Y7) who plays Oliver himself. 

During their appearance on Gavin Matthews’ breakfast show, they chatted about all things theatre, sharing insights into the creative process, how excited they are to bring some of the production’s most memorable characters to life and give a sneak peek into the talent powering our biggest production of the year. Gruff even braved it and treated listeners to a live rendition of the beautiful song “Where Is Love?”, earning well-deserved praise from Gavin and the Dee Radio team.

The interview aired live at 10:20am, celebrating the amazing dedication, passion, and teamwork that go into staging a performance of this scale. It’s safe to say that this year’s show is one you definitely won’t want to miss!
