Record numbers of top grades as our students celebrate outstanding success!
Following last week's record-breaking A Level results, students at Queen's Park High School are celebrating another remarkable year of achievement, with the school's strongest-ever GCSE outcomes at grades 9–7, 9–5 and 9–4.
These exceptional results reflect the dedication, resilience and hard work of students, supported by the unwavering commitment of staff. Performance at the highest grades was particularly impressive, with QPHS securing the greatest number of grade 9s in its history. Half of all students also achieved at least one grade 7 or above.
Special recognition goes to the following students for their outstanding achievements:
- Lydia Stent - nine 9s and one 8
- Sophie Dover - six 9s, three 8s and one 7
- Reya Sevim - six 9s, two 8s and three 7s
- Millie Warren - four 9s, two 8s, three 7s and one 6
Congratulations also go to Darwin Hawes, Lucy Shaw, Sam Swindells, Phoebe Warren, Evie Bamber, Sophia Hewitt, Erin Troke and Alvaro Kidley, who achieved excellent results across a range of subjects.
More students than ever before have achieved strong passes in both English and maths, with the proportion achieving grades 4 and above, and grades 5 and above, exceeding the national averages.
The school also recorded exceptional performance across a number of subject areas, with many departments achieving their best-ever outcomes. These results reflect the strength of the curriculum, the quality of teaching and learning, and the determination shown by students throughout their studies.
This success has contributed to the school's best-ever outcomes for students achieving at least five standard and strong passes, including English and mathematics, providing a strong foundation for their next steps in education, training and employment.
"These record results reflect the high expectations, excellent teaching and unwavering commitment shown across the school. Congratulations to all our students for their resilience and hard work, and thank you to our dedicated staff and supportive families. This is a fantastic achievement and an exciting sign of the continued success of Queen's Park High School."
Mr Tom Kearns, Executive Headteacher
The school will also be opening new purpose built sixth form facilities in the Autumn Term, supporting the continued growth and success of the sixth form. With demand for places continuing to grow, there are now very few spaces remaining for September 2026. Students interested in joining the sixth form are encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible by emailing: 6thform@qphs.co.uk
