Cambridge University Shadowing Scheme

Fitzwilliam College Cambridge is running a Shadowing Scheme for Year 12 students attending a state school or college in Cheshire.

It will run from the 20th - 23rd November and the selected participants will have to opportunity to attend lectures, supervisions, and other activities in order to experience what life and teaching is like at the University of Cambridge.

The entire scheme is free of charge and they will provide accommodation and all meals for the duration of the scheme. There are no eligibility criteria other than attending a state school in Cheshire.

The itinerary for the scheme will be released to the selected applicants closer to the event, but the scheme will roughly involve the following:

Wednesday 20 Arrive late afternoon and meet the other students and mentors. Have a tour of the College and settle into rooms.

Thursday 21 and Friday 22 Attend lectures, supervisions, and classes with the mentors. There will be the chance to explore the city and other colleges, and the mentors will arrange evening entertainment.

Saturday 23 Personal statements workshop and applying to Cambridge presentation. Depart late morning.
