Sixth Form Success

Queen's Park High School celebrates another year of outstanding Sixth Form results.

Queen's Park High School is once again celebrating another year of fantastic exam results in its Sixth Form. The results reflect the dedication of students to their studies over the past two years and the strong network of teaching and support staff across the school.

Results in facilitating subjects - those subjects preferred by leading UK universities - are particularly strong, with outcomes in maths, the sciences and humanities reaching their highest average grades to date. Students achieved 100% A*- B in maths, further maths, history and geography, indicating the strong academic provision offered at QPHS Sixth Form.

Practical-based subjects also celebrated outstanding results, with the Arts and Sport Studies recording their strongest results across all measures.

"I am immensely proud of our Sixth Form students. These results are testament to their hard work, resilience and determination. They have shown not only academic excellence but also the personal qualities that will serve them well in the future. I would also like to thank our dedicated staff for going above and beyond to support and inspire our young people."

Mr Tom Kearns, headteacher

An honourable mention goes to Aaron Mohun, who after studying four A-Levels in maths, further maths, chemistry and physics, secured 4 A*s and leaves us to pursue his golf scholarship at college in the United States!

Congratulations also to:

  • Ned Hardisty who is heading to the University of Manchester to read Physics.
  • Camilla Haws who will be going to Northumbria University to study Fine Art.
  • Dan Halewood who is off to Newcastle University to read Sport and Exercise
  • Georgia Rich who will be studying Maths at University of Leeds.

"Our students have truly excelled this year, and it has been a privilege to watch them grow into confident, ambitious young adults. Whether they are heading to prestigious universities, apprenticeships, or exciting opportunities overseas, we are confident they will continue to make us proud."
