Mr Kearns' end of term letter to parents and carers.

Dear Parents/Carers

As we reach the end of this half term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your ongoing support. Your partnership with the school makes a tremendous difference, and we are grateful for the encouragement you provide your children each day.

I would also like to congratulate our Year 11 and Year 13 students for what has been a very positive set of
Mock examinations. Their attitude, effort, and commitment have been excellent, and we are incredibly proud of the resilience they have shown throughout this busy period.

As we approach the festive season, we are delighted to share several exciting Christmas events taking place
within our school community:

Christmas Events:

  • Wednesday 10th December – Christmas Concert (7.00pm)
A wonderful evening of music and celebration. Tickets can be purchased here:
    QPHS Christmas Concert
  • Thursday 11th December – Christmas Jumper Dinner Day
We are encouraging as many students as possible to enjoy a hot school dinner on this day. Our canteens will be beautifully decorated, and students will sit together in their tutor groups alongside their tutors and year group staff, to enjoy a festive, family-style meal. Students are invited to wear their Christmas jumper on this day. Blazers will not be required. We kindly ask for a £1 donation via ParentMail, which will be donated to West Cheshire Food Bank.
  • Thursday 18th December – Staff Vs Sixth Form Event (lunchtime)
Alongside a Christmas fair in our main hall, students can watch our sixth form students continue in the league of events against each other! Who will win this time round? Staff or students?

We are also looking forward to our annual school production of Oliver! running from 11th to 13th February 2026. This is always a highlight of the school calendar, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work our students and staff are putting into bringing this classic musical to life.
Tickets can be purchased via TicketSource: Book here for Oliver!

Please note that school will finish for the Christmas break at 12.00pm on Friday 19th December.

We wish all our families a Christmas filled with joy, laughter, and special moments. We look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for the new term on Tuesday 6th January at 8.40am.

Warmest wishes,

Mr Tom Kearns
