Covid-19 Guidance

Living with Covid-19

As we move fully into the government's plan on 'Living with Covid-19' we look forward to returning to an educational setting where we can focus on our students and support them to achieve their full potential without interruption.

Latest Guidance

Please find below the latest guidance from the Department for Education.

Summary
  • Students with mild symptoms such as a runny nose, sore throat, or mild cough, who are otherwise well, can continue to attend school.
  • Students who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and where possible avoid contact with other people. They can go back to school when they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough (as per normal respiratory guidance for other illness).
  • If a student has a positive COVID-19 test result they should try to stay at home and where possible avoid contact with other people for 3 days after the day they took the test. The risk of passing the infection on to others is much lower after 3 days if they feel well and do not have a high temperature.
  • Students who live with someone who has a positive COVID-19 test result should continue to attend as normal.
  • Staff with the symptoms of a respiratory infection, and who have a high temperature or feel unwell, should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people until they feel well enough to resume normal activities and they no longer have a high temperature.
  • Staff who have a positive COVID-19 test result should try to stay at home for 5 days after the day they took the test. There is no need to return a negative test before starting back at school.

Please note: the school can no longer distribute test kits to staff or students.
