Overview
Tailored to the individual strengths of our students, our KS5 offer is currently BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts in Year 12 and A Level Drama for Year 13. In Year 12 students study the core units of the course and supplement the development of their acting ability with an acting module in the Summer term. In Year 13, students continue on with their two year A Level Drama course focusing on the development of their understanding of the set texts: Dr. Faustus and Equus, whilst simultaneously preparing for their Component 2 performances in the Spring term. Year 13 culminates in an external written exam focusing on students' abilities to respond to questions based on a live performance they've seen as part of the course, their interpretation of a text and their ability to portray a role in a production of Equus (as a performer and a designer).
